Trawling Through The 1/12th Scale Archives

As I've told you before, these summer weeks have been in the garden - and you really don't want to see pictures of the rather necessary but brutal pruning that has taken place. So let's get back to miniatures.

When you've been creating character dolls as long as me, it's fun/instructive/sentimental...to go back over the old picture files.  I've been fortunate in having many, many super commissions over the years which have stretched me and enabled me to not only create a raft of characters but indulge my love of historical costuming.
Some of the following are more than a decade old so the quality of the pictures does vary.
Fag Ash Lil'  - my favourite character
A beautiful gipsy lady
One of those old ladies who fits so beautifully into many scenes, wearing and antique lace shawl
One of my Scots - with his bagpipes
A couple of 'posh' 18th Century gents

Georgian lady

The old pregnant lady I've made. She now lives down under with Sus and her family.
Thank you for looking.

Haha! Janet and Jim and the in-laws send greetings! The pregnancy continues....... and continues ;)) but mum is not the least bit concerned about it. Lil is still chasing the Vicar but he's still a step ahead and the kids are looking forward to summer - swimming, picnics and camping in the Christmas holidays. Oh to be young again and enjoy the long hot days with them :) miniGraff, of course, is the most prominent member of the extended family and is a great ambassador for miniatures, he makes everyone smile who meets him. I love all of your people but I have a real soft spot for your 1930's - 1940's characters, they look like they really enjoy their lives, but my "migrants" are my most favourite small people in the world. Every time I have a chat with them I think how lucky I am to have them. Thanks for the trip down your memory lane, lovely to meet some other characters.

Hi Robin! These pictures show us a big variety of your gorgeous dolls. I'm sure lot of people have one, or more of them, in their dollhouses. They are suitable for all time periods ;)!
Great to see some of them again!
Hugs, Ilona

Such wonderful little people! I find myself considerng them as relatives of my own Coombe Craft people and giving them their own stories in my head. Fag Ash lil is a favourite, though I do wish she'd put her fag out long enough to have a cpa from time to time - she must be very thirsty by now.
This is a lovley trip down memory lane post and it has been such fun catching up with old friends.
